The Whispers
Summer hasn't officially began yet, and I'm already clamoring for new entertainment. Dinosaurs, spies and tropical rom-coms may rule (or bomb) at the box office, but this summer's roster of big budget popcorn movies has yet to pique my interest. Thankfully, there is a new crop of television shows ripe for the picking. Here's the scoop on 5 can't-miss new shows!

The Whispers, ABC

Despite having a block of award-winning family-friendly programming, the ultimate goal of ABC's is to turn adorable, innocent children into the creepiest villains on television. "The Whispers" is about an in...

15 Bold And Sexual Band Names
Not all band names were created equally. Some are clearly down to earth while others are bold and filled with controversy. A down to earth post of the best band names would be boring, SO, why not examine some of the boldest band names out there, shall we? No, this list doesn’t “go for the kill” – some are too hot for Starpulse or really anybody – but there are definitely 15 great, bold bands that grace this list.

1) N.W.A.

One of the boldest, most controversial names (and collectives) has to be N.W.A., which stands for N***az Wit Attitudes. As shocking as the name is outside of it...

These Artists Aren't Afraid To Show Their Faith

May 30th, 2015 5:00pm EDT
Carrie Underwood
Carrie Underwood notched her seventeenth Billboard Music Award this month with her song, “Something In The Water,” taking home the honors of ‘Best Christian Song.’ Despite criticisms of her Christian lyrical-nature, Underwood won’t give in to those spreading hate.

“I’m not the first person to sing about God, Jesus, faith [or] any of that, and I won’t be the last. And it won’t be the last for me, either,” she told Glamour Magazine back in 2012.

Underwood is just one of many artists that aren’t afraid to speak out in support of their faith or put it into a song, and some of the musicians on...

12 Recent Songs And Artists That Have Revived Funk
Some of the best music in history hails from the past, a period in which musicians were innovators paving the way for the future. It’s no surprise that contemporary music is heavily inspired by the past, hence marking a resurgence of “old school.” One style that has enjoyed such resurgence to the forefront of the music industry is funk, which seems to be ‘hot’.

Sure, maybe not every musician is jumping up and down or joining the bandwagon declaring the return of the 70s style, but plenty have paid ode to the masters with successful, award-winning records that maintain and reestablish f...

Memorial Day: Unofficial Start Of Summer Also Means It's Bikini
Each year in the U.S. Americans pay tribute to those who have fallen while defending our country on Memorial Day, and the late may holiday also marks the unofficial beginning of summer -- especially in the northeast.

We thank the men and women defending the United States of America and those who gave their lives in wars' past for their sacrifice.

Picnics, parties and parades fill the three-day holiday weekend, and the beaches have officially opened up (i.e. started charging money to get in), thus tanning season in in full swing, and with tanning comes one of our favorite sights at the sho...

Are These Stars One-Hit Wonders?

May 25th, 2015 10:00am EDT
Hollywood Stars Who Were Total One-Hit Wonders
"One-hit wonder" tends to be a term for musicians only. Someone puts out a hit record. For a few brief moments, they bask in that sweet hit-record glow. Then they fade into obscurity forever (hopefully obscurity still comes with its share of royalty fees).

It's time we spread the "one-hit wonder" label around a little. You don't have be (briefly) musically inclined to be a one-hit wonder. One-hit wonders are just as common in Hollywood- actors, directors and such.

Click ahead to find ten of the one-hit wonder-iest.

The Most Embarrassing Celebrity Moments Caught On Film
We've all done embarrassing things. It's human nature. It's bad when these incidents happen on camera, but it's worse when you're famous and caught on film during one of these not-so-fine moments.

Justin Bieber puked on stage at a 2012 concert in Arizona -- not once but twice. He was in the midst of performing "Out Of Town Girl" when it happened. He turned his back to the audience and regurgitated. He rushed backstage as his back-up dancers continued to do their thing.

The pop star later came back to finish his set, but after a few more songs, he told the crowd: "It's hard for me, you kn...

New 'Wallpaper' Thin TV From LG To Hit Market Soon
What do you get the Dad who has everything for Father's Day? How about some nice new wallpaper... that he can watch the game on.

We've already seen television companies come out with designs like curved LEDs that are super thin. But now, LG is trumping everyone with a new design that is as thin as a sticker.

LG's "wallpaper" panel is 55 inches wide, but less than a millimeter thick. The entire TV weighs only four pounds and can be attached to a wall with a magnet backing, and then literally peeled off, like a sticker.

This level of thickness is accomplished by using OLED lighting, or or...

10 Classic Cartoons That Need To Be Revived
No matter how old we get, cartoons stay the same. Kind of. Although the newer ones these days may not be up to par with what we got to experience in the 90’s and early 00’s, those older ones are still subject to binge-watching on any given Saturday morning.

But sometimes, binge-watching re-runs just isn’t enough. Some networks have gotten the hint: classic shows like ‘Dragon Ball’ and ‘The Powerpuff Girls’ have gotten the chance to live again, and even the older ‘toon, ‘Danger Mouse,’ is getting a new set of legs, too. With Netflix taking control of the television industry, there’s no reas...
