The win for Best Musical at the Tony Awards by “Fun Home” was groundbreaking for the LGBT community.

"Fun Home" is the first mainstream Broadway musical with a lesbian protagonist.

Based on the graphic memoir by cartoonist Alison Bechdel about her relationship with her closeted father, "Fun Home" also took home three other Tony Awards for Best Director, Best Original Score and Best Actor in a Musical for Michael Cerveris.

In accepting the award, Cerveris said he hoped the Supreme Court ruled on the side of equality later this month.

Here is a list of the night's big winners as reported...

A slew of celebrities attended the 2015 Tony Awards at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on Sunday night, and several stood out for their red carpet looks.

The singer/actress stunned in the dress, which reminded us of fireworks.

The term was coined by actor Philip Michael Thomas (Tubbs from “Miami Vice”) in an interview in “Vanity Fair,” when he stated his goal of winning all four awards (he has yet to be nominated for any of them). The concept was further popularized in recent years on “30 Rock,” in a storyline that saw Tracy Jordan achieve EGOT status over the course of Seasons 4 and 5.

The following is a handy guide to actual ’s are perh...

The 2014 Oscars ceremony was a banner moment for the Walt Disney Company. The House of Mouse received official confirmation that its storied animation studio has finally rekindled its glory days. "Frozen" won best animated feature and the movie's main theme song, "Let It Go" won best song.

The success of "Let It Go" can be attributed largely to "Frozen" star Idina Menzel, who voices Elsa in the film. Menzel brought the house down when she sung the song at the Oscars. Menzel's song is the biggest hit Disney has had arguably since the days of Elton John and "The Lion King" soundtrack.

TV Ratings: Basketball A Slam Dunk For ABC

'America's Got Talent'
A lot of people spend their time going out for ice cream rather than watching TV in the summertime. Ratings typically dwindle, and in rerun-land, atypical programs often claim the top spots. Last week, NBA Finals games nabbed the Top 3 spots on both ABC and TNT.

NBC had a pretty good week, topped by ‘The Voice’ and ‘America’s Got Talent’ in 4th and 5th place, respectively. CBS had to settle having seven reruns in the Top 20, although its Tony Awards broadcast did well in 11th place. With ‘American Idol’ out the window for now, FOX had only one show in the Top 20, ‘Masterchef,’ which averag...

In a decidedly-positive Tony Awards, women and men who dress like them were the bells of the ball.

The collection of Broadway plays up for awards included several dramatic choices, but it was the lighthearted fare that ended up on top this year.

The feel-good musical "Kinky Boots" won six awards, the most of the nights. The haul included Best Musical in a slight upset over the darker "Matilda," as well as Best Original Score (which was done by Cyndi Lauper). The comedy Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike won best play over its dramatic opponents.

The women behind the plays performed a ra...

Scarlett Johansson
As more and more big-screen stars dabble with theater roles, the attention to Broadway deepens. Several well-known celebs attended Sunday night's Tony Awards, and many presented trophies at the ceremony.

Scarlett Johansson, above, received mixed reviews for her role as Maggie in the sixth revival of "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" earlier this year. She showed up to last night's event in a conservative black dress with a matching jacket.

Last year, Jake Gyllenhaal made his off-Broadway debut in "If There Is I Haven't Found It Yet." He played a man who struggled to help his overweight niece fit in...
