May 9th, 2013 12:20pm EDT
Tanya Chisholm
On Nickelodeon's hugely popular series Big Time Rush, Tanya Chisholm plays talent scout Kelly Wainwright - but in real life, she's a talent in her own right. BFTV recently chatted up Tanya to discuss the recently-premiered fourth (and possibly final?) season of BTR and her love of comedy.

Tanya's own star story began at seven, when she took the stage in a play. "I was the first person on stage and a spotlight came on to open the show and it was on me," she said. "I was just like, 'Oh my Gosh.' It was this overwhelming feeling of 'I want to do this forever.' It was awesome."

From that poin...

Former 'Dora The Explorer' Actress Caitlin Sanchez Loses Appeal

May 8th, 2013 9:49pm EDT
Caitlin Sanchez
The teenage actress who voiced the popular children's cartoon character Dora The Explorer has lost an appeal to dismiss an out-of-court settlement she previously reached with TV producers after insisting she was "duped" into taking a bad deal.

In 2010, Caitlin Sanchez launched a $10 million legal battle against Nickelodeon bosses, claiming she and her parents were handed "unconscionable" documents to sign when she accepted the role of Dora in 2007 and insisting they were cornered into agreeing to the terms without the help of a lawyer.

Her lawyer, John Balestriere, argued the actress, w...

February 1st, 2013 1:28pm EST
Big Time Rush
After combining forces with rap legend Snoop Dogg back in 2011 to create their hit single 'Boyfriend', pop heartthrobs Big Time Rush are back in the studio working on a new hip-hop collaboration. Carlos Peña tells us exclusively the band's written a hook inside one of their new singles to be recorded by a girl rapper. We asked the boys if Nicki Minaj was a potential candidate and they quickly responded, stating, "No - Bieber can have her." After the Biebs coincidentally titled his 2012 hit single 'Boyfriend', its no surprise BTR's trying to stay away from a Minaj collab. Although the boys d...

Alex Heartman Talks About Leading 'Power Rangers Super Samurai'

September 19th, 2012 11:00am EDT
Power Rangers
Many of us grew up pretending to be superheroes - but we don't ever get the chance to realize those dreams. Not so for actor Alex Heartman, who plays Jayden the Red Ranger on Nickelodeon's Power Rangers Super Samurai. With the first two volumes of Super Samurai now out on DVD, I caught up with Alex to ask him if playing a superhero is as cool as we all thought it would be when we were young.

"It's amazing," he told me. "It's everything that I thought it would be growing up as a kid running around fighting bushes with sticks. I'm fighting actual guys in monster suits and actually h...

DirecTV And Viacom Breakup Drama Continues: Canceled Channels Include BET, VH1, MTV, Comedy Central and More!

July 11th, 2012 11:22pm EDT
‘Money Talks and BS Walks’ is the old adage that instantly comes to mind while learning about this DirecTV/Viacom beef. Seemingly, however, DirecTV is not bs-ing because they recently pulled several popular channels from their satellite service on Tuesday night. BET, Comedy Central, MTV, VH1, Nickelodeon, and Spike are all gone and the plot continues to thicken, as the list of channels DirecTV threatens to shut down grows longer.

Apparently, while negotiating dollars and cents, the two powerhouses are at an impasse at the negotiating table and neither team is budging.

DirecTV claims it wa...
