Andy Samberg Drops First Emmy Promo Saying Seven Words That Soun
If Andy Samberg's Emmy promo means anything, fans are in for a unique hosting experience by the "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" star.

The first official promo for the 2015 show is filled with dirty words, well, at least words that sound like dirty words.

"We've all heard of the seven dirty words you can't say on TV," Samberg says. "But what about the seven words that sound dirty that you can say?"

Some of those seven kind of dirty words? "Corkscrew, Kumquat, Shuttlecock. Dictaphone and Annals, Shan't and of course, But," stated Samberg.

Former "Saturday Night Live" star Samberg will host the sh...

Last Week Tonight with John Oliver
The 2015 Emmy nominations will be announced Thursday, July 16. In the next few days, we will be offering our predictions and wish lists for the major categories.

For the predictions, our choices have naturally been limited to what shows and performers are actually on the ballot. But for the wish lists, no such limit was imposed. This is a “wish list” after all, and one can wish that someone who was left off the ballot had not been.

One of the biggest Emmy rule changes this year is that the Variety Series category has now been split into Variety Talk and Variety Sketch. With this field do...

Better Call Saul
The 2015 Emmy nominations will be announced Thursday, July 16. In the next few days, we will be offering our predictions and wish lists for the major categories.

A few major rule changes have taken effect this year:

The Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Drama Series fields have been expanded from six to seven shows.

All half-hour scripted series must now enter as comedies while all hour-length shows must enter as dramas. Thus, “Orange is the New Black” – previously entered as a Comedy – must now compete as a Drama. But individual programs are allowed to appeal to the TV Academy...

Andy Samberg To Host The 2015 Emmy Awards: Expect A 'Wild Ride'
Andy Samberg has been tapped to host the 2015 Primetime Emmy Awards and there is once again a chance for an awards show to have real laughs instead of calculated chuckles.

The actor is set to host the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards this year, it was announced Thursday.

“It’s wonderfully fitting that we have Andy Samberg, an Emmy Award winner himself, as our host for this year's Primetime Emmy Awards,” said Bruce Rosenblum, chairman and CEO of the Television Academy.

A Short History Of EGOT Winners

2/22/2015 3:00pm EST
EGOT
February is both Oscar and Grammy time, which has us thinking about EGOT winners, i.e., entertainers who have won at least one Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony in their careers. The term was coined by actor Philip Michael Thomas (Tubbs from “Miami Vice”) in an interview in “Vanity Fair,” when he stated his goal of winning all four awards (he has yet to be nominated for any of them). The concept was further popularized in recent years on “30 Rock,” in a storyline that saw Tracy Jordan achieve EGOT status over the course of Seasons 4 and 5.

The following is a handy guide to actual ’s are perh...

David Oyelowo- Breakout Actor

The British-bred actor was a scene stealer in Lee Daniel’s “The Butler” playing opposite Forrest Whittaker and Oprah Winfrey. Reteaming with the media mogul in “Selma,” the spotlight is mostly on him as he channels Martin Luther King Jr. and it’s not going unrecognized as he’s already nabbed...

Sofia Vergara Says People Need To Lighten Up!

8/27/2014 11:10am EDT
Sofia Vergara
Sofia Vergara was literally put on a pedestal during Monday night's 66th Emmy Awards, and naturally the world is freakng out about it.

The "Modern Family" star took the stage to introduce Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Bruce Rosenblum to give the yearly speech on the state of the industry, or as many see it, to bore viewers for five minutes, and to keep people from nodding off during his rambling, he asked Vergara to step up onto a pedestal that was next to him. As she did, it began rotating, showing off the actress' sexy curves and most likely distracting millions of viewers from t...

Sofia Vergara And 15 Of The Best Dressed Women At The 2014 Emmys

Sofia Vergara And 15 Of The Best Dressed Women At The 2014 Emmys
The 2014 Emmy Awards telecast on Monday night wasn't much to write home about, trudging along in mediocrity save for a few above average moments.

Even the fashion this year was so-so. Few stars stood out this year -- a stark contrast to Sunday night's MTV Video Music Awards -- and, of course there were some bad dresses, but even the bad wasn't that bad (well, if you take Lena Dunham out of the equation).

Starting off with three women whose amazing curves were on display all night, Modern Family's Sofia Vergara, True Detective's Alexandra Daddario and Mad Men's Christina Hendricks, these 1...

Weird Al Yankovic Parodies TV Theme Songs, Pushes 'Game Of Thron
There were few highlights to a rather uneventful and, frankly, boring 2014 Emmy Awards ceremony Monday night, but about halfway into the show, 'Weird Al' Yankovic took the stage for three-and-a-half minutes for a parody medley of the theme songs of hit shows "Mad Men," "Scandal," "Homeland," "Modern Family" and "Game of Thrones," the latter of which was the focus of the skit and co-starred Andy Samberg as the show's now deceased young king Joffrey Baratheon.

Dancers dressed in outfits the likes of the ones on the show surrounded the singer as he pleaded for writer George R.R. Martin to hur...
