Legendary entertainer Harry Belafonte was presented with an honorary Oscar at the Governors Awards held in Los Angeles on Saturday.

The Calypso singer was given the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award for his civil rights campaigning over the course of his life.

Belafonte accepted the award from Susan Sarandon and urged Hollywood's stars, including Keira Knightley, Emily Blunt, John Krasinski, Ron Howard and Logan Lerman, who were all present at the event, to use their fame to make the world a better place.

Apparently Jennifer Lawrence had a little too much to drink following the Academy Awards earlier this year. The actress reportedly vomited in front of Miley Cyrus during an after party at the March event.

The Academy Awards were missing two heroes Sunday night after both Andrew Garfield and Batkid were mysteriously cut from the show.

In the weeks leading up to The Oscar, it was announced the Amazing Spider-Man 2 star would be inducting "a new superhero into the fraternity of superheroes" to tie in with the "Heroes" theme of the show. It has now been revealed that superhero was Batkid, AKA Miles Scott, who recently fulfilled his dream of becoming a hero through the Make-A-Wish foundation.
