The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's Class of 2015 was officially announced on Tuesday morning, revealing eight new bands and artists who will be immortalized in Cleveland, Ohio (is that really a good thing?)

Although they received only 2.59% of the fan vote, Green Day was elected to the Hall in their first year of eligibility, while bands like Yes, The Moody Blues, Chicago and Warren Zevon -- all eligible for the Hall for at least two decades now -- were snubbed yet again, the four combining for just one nomination in the past quarter century.

Miss South Africa Rolene Strauss edged out competitors from over 120 countries on Sunday to win the crown of Miss World.

Edina Kulcsar of Hungary was named runner-up, while American Elizabeth Safrit took third place during the ceremony, which was held at London's ICC Auditorium.

Strauss received her crown from reigning Miss World, Megan Young .

Indian actress Aishwarya Rai, who was named Miss World 1994, was on hand for the ceremony. The actress brought her husband, Abhishek Bachchan, and daughter Aaradhya along to the event.

'Boyhood' Takes Top Honors From LAFCA

Boyhood
"Boyhood" -- a film 12 years in the making -- has landed the Best Picture of the Year award from the Los Angeles Film Critics Association.

The film, which stars Ethan Hawke and Patricia Arquette as parents raising their son Mason (Ellar Coltrane) from the age of six until he leaves for college. The movie was filmed little by little over the years as star Coltraine really went grew up, making the film the first of its kind.

Richard Linklater picked up the Best Director award for the film, which also earned a Best Actress award for Arquette and the Film Editing trophy for Sandra Adair.

The 2015 Grammy nominations have officially been announced, and British singer Sam Smith leads the way, landing nods in six categories including Record of the Year for single "Stay With Me (Darkchild Remix) and Album of the Year for "In the Lonely Hour."
