The upcoming biopic 'JOBS' starring Ashton Kutcher as the enigmatic business guru, Steve Jobs, has finally received a release date.

The highly anticipated film devoted to one of the biggest technological figureheads of the 21st century is slated to release this year, August 16th. The film details the early life of Jobs, in the early 1970s through 2001.  Important figures such as Steve Wozniak (Josh Gad) will make an appearance as well.

'The Purge' Sequel Already In Development

A sequel to Ethan Hawke's latest thriller The Purge is in development after becoming a surprise hit at the box office.

Last weekend the film, set in a future where all crimes are legalized for a 12-hour period, scared up a storm when it debuted at number one with takings of $34 million, easily recouping its modest $3 million production budget.

The planned sequel for cult comedy classic film Dumb And Dumber has been dealt a blow as bosses at Warner Bros. have reportedly turned down the project.

Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels were set to reprise their roles as bumbling duo Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne in the follow-up, which would follow the pair as they hit the road to find Dunne's illegitimate daughter.

The 1994 movie's original writers and directors, Bobby and Peter Farrelly, were signed on for the sequel, which has been in the works for years at New Line Cinema, a subsidiary of Warner Bros.

The release of the highly-anticipated 300 sequel, 300: Rise of an Empire has been pushed back until 2014.

The follow-up to Gerard Butler's Greco-Persian war movie was set to hit cinemas in August, but chiefs at Warner Bros. studios have decided to delay the release by seven months.
