Random House will publish "Glee" star Lea Michele's book about her life. The autobiography, "Brunette Ambition," is described as "part memoir, part how-to and part style-guide."

The book will feature Michele's life growing up in New York City, her stint on Broadway, and her role on the popular FOX series.

On Monday, multi-talented actress Jessica Alba was honored in Connecticut in acknowledgment of her philanthropic efforts.

The Machete star, who has two young daughters, was handed the Champion for Children Award by Dr. Philip J. Landrigan, the director of Mount Sinai Children's Environmental Health Center at a luncheon event at the Hyatt Regency in Greenwich.

Alba was given the honor for helping advance the center's mission through her work, which includes her eco-friendly baby product line Honest and her book, The Honest Life, based on bringing her children up in a non-toxic household.

The actor is co-writing "Nightmares!" with author Kirsten Miller. The series will center on a group of kids who must save their hometown from fear, which has manifested itself in the form of nightmare creatures that appear in the everyday world.
