Can Taylor Swift End Her Grammy Dry Spell?

Will Taylor Swift Ever Dominate The Grammys Again?
Will Taylor Swift win another Grammy? Hmm, the posed question seems almost ridiculous when you think about the success that the country/pop artist has experienced from a young age, but since winning the coveted Grammy for album of the year for Fearless back in 2010, Swift has experienced quite a dry spell. The question is, is her pop album, 1989 too big to be ignored by the Grammys come 2016? Let’s backtrack a little before speculating about the future.

Reaction To 57th Annual Grammy Awards Winners
The Grammy Awards are always interesting – at least in regards to who gets recognized with Grammys and who is snubbed. Kristen Wiig Swings From Sia's 'Chandelier' At The Grammy Awards
Sam Smith may have collected a wheelbarrow of awards at last night’s 57th Annual Grammys, but actress and comedian Kristen Wiig stole the entire show.

The "SNL" alum shocked millions by dancing to Sia's Grammy-nominated "Chandelier” in the singer’s trademark wig and a nude leotard. Even more amazingly, Wiig held her own when dancing with Sia’s proxy, "Dance Moms" Maddie Zielger.

Wiig wasn't there to get laughs, which made her entire performance that much more compelling and wonderfully bizarre. She committed to the avante-garde performance with jaw-dropping talent and with epic emotion....

57th Annual Grammy Awards: Predicting 10 Of The Most Coveted Awa
Victory, defeat, triumph, breakout, and upsets are some words that can be used to describe the Grammys. Like every awards show, there are winners and then there are losers who probably should have been winners. It goes with the territory, no matter how fortunate or unfortunate it is. The Grammys can be likened as a Super Bowl for musicians, even if being decorated in Grammys isn’t a necessity to cement musicianship or solidify artistic legacy – look at those who historically were never nominated or victorious. Still, writing off music’s most prestigious award is ludicrous in itself. Po...

The 57th Grammy Award Predictions: Who Wins In The Pop Categorie
The cream of the crop of the Grammy Awards resides in what’s known as the ‘big four’ – record of the year, album of the year, song of the year, and best new artist. Of the genre-specific categories, arguably the most interesting is pop, namely four specific awards: Best pop solo performance, best pop/duo group performance, best traditional pop vocal album, and the coveted best pop vocal album. So, who wins in those standout pop categori...

The Voice
The Internet is abuzz with the news that The Voice has announced its Season 5 finalists, but that's not all that's happening this week. We had several former competitors return to the show, a few more drop by just to say hello, and Blake Shelton crashed someone else's Christmas special again this year.

On Tuesday, four acts from The Voice's past two seasons came back to promote their new music, and we found out what they've been up to. Season 3 winner Cassadee Pope performed the next single from her recent album, and discovered that the album has gone gold.

Her successor and Big Machine R...

Random Access Memories : Daft Punk
If the Grammys were held mid September, based on an eligibility period ranging from October 1, 2012 to present, who would be frontrunners for nominations? Previously, brentmusicreviews.com did a mid-year edition of potential nominees (kinda like the way-too-early polls done in sports), but now that we have a little more info, has there been much change?  This time I examine five who seem Grammy-worthy as far as overall profile.

Key:

ROTY =  Record of the year

AOTY =  Album of the year

SOTY =  Song of the year

BNA   =  Best New Artist

1 Justin Timberlake (The 20/20 Experience)
