Joan Rivers Stops Breathing During Medical Procedure, Is In Critical Condition

Joan Rivers has been hospitalized after she stopped breathing during a medical procedure. The comedienne was rushed to Mount Sinai hospital in New York City this morning after she had a procedure performed on her vocal chords, according to TMZ.com.

Rivers is reportedly in critical condition, and at one point her heart stopped beating.

An individual placed an emergency call at 9:39 a.m. ET this morning, telling the 911 operator: "We have somebody in either cardiac or respiratory arrest."

Rivers' daughter Melissa is reportedly on her way to the city to be by her mother's side.

Katherine Heigl Withdraws $6 Million Lawsuit Against Drugstore
Katherine Heigl has decided to drop a lawsuit against Duane Reade. The actress had filed a $6 million lawsuit against the drugstore chain after the company posted a paparazzi photo of her carrying their shopping bags.

The picture was used on the store's social media websites. It included the caption: "Love a quick #DuaneReade run? Even @KatieHeigl can't resist shopping #NYC's favorite drugstore."

Heigl claimed Duane Reed had violated the false advertising provision of the Lanham Act, as well as New York civil rights statutes protecting the use of likenesses for the purpose of trade.

Discovery Cancels 'Sons Of Guns' In Wake Of Will Hayden Child Ra
Will Hayden, the star of Discovery channel series "Sons of Guns," was arrested on child rape charges Tuesday following an investigation stemming from his arrest on child molestation charges two weeks ago.

Hayden was booked on August 9 for allegedly molesting his 12-year-old daughter, but he claimed that the accusation was made up by his ex girlfriend, who is the girl's mother, for breaking up wiht her. He was released after posting a $150,000 bond.

Sex Abuse Lawsuit Against Director Bryan Singer Dropped
A judge has dropped a sex abuse lawsuit dating back 15 years against director Bryan Singer.

In April, Michael Egan III filed a legal complaint against the filmmaker, claiming the director molested him at a party in 1999 when he was just 17 years old.

Earlier this summer Singer filed for dismissal. Last week, Egan filed a request to dismiss the lawsuit because he was unable to find an attorney to work on his case.

Judge Susan Oki Mollway granted Egan's motion for voluntary dismissal in U.S. District Court in Hawaii on Wednesday. Egan will be allowed to refile a claim against the filmmaker...

FX has ordered 10 episodes of the comedy series "Baskets," starring Zach Galifianakis and co-created by Galifianakis, Louis C.K. and Jonathan Krisel.
