'Beauty And The Beast's' Austin Basis: 'Things Happen That Chang
Behind many TV heroes, there's a loyal sidekick. On The CW's Beauty and the Beast, that role is filled more than capably by Austin Basis, who plays J.T. Forbes, the best friend to "beast" Vincent (Jay Ryan). Austin checked in with us on Thursday to preview tonight's BATB season finale and discuss the show's passionate "Beasties" fan base.

SPOILER ALERT - This interview contains hints about tonight's Beauty and the Beast season finale. If you don't want to know anything about the finale, skip the first page of this interview.

Lindsey Morgan Talks 'The 100': Which Scene Shocked Her?
The CW's post-apocalyptic teen drama The 100 completes its first season tonight, so we checked in with actress Lindsey Morgan, who plays recurring character Raven Reyes, to find out what to expect and how it's been for her to step into a totally different role than her Daytime Emmy-nominated one on General Hospital.

What has she enjoyed most about the show so far? "I guess the "WTF" moments that we had in the season to where you're like 'Did they really just do that? Did they really just go there and show that?'" she told us - and there have been plenty in The 100, with characters missing ...

'Supernatural' Season 9 Finale Recap: The Wrong Kind Of Miracle

May 21st, 2014 10:15am EDT
Last week, Castiel asked Dean, "Do you really believe three will be enough?" to beat the villain of the moment. Dean answered, "It always has been," with a certainty that felt simultaneously hopeful and damning. Tuesday's "Supernatural" finale posed, "Do You Believe In Miracles?" and answered itself with a complicated, soul-flaying affirmative.

Grab your tissues and your therapist’s number, and let's dive in shall we?

When we last left the Bunker, Dean was foaming at the mouth like a rabid dog after slashing Gadreel with the first blade. Castiel restrains Dean, and Sam uses his littl...

Fall TV 2014: A Night By Night Comparison Of What May And May Not Work

Fall TV 2014: A Night By Night Comparison Of What May And May No
Now that all the big networks have revealed what they’ll be showing us this fall, let’s take a look at what may or may not work.

ABC is essentially playing it safe, and keeping Sunday Night intact. American Crime will swap for Resurrection at midseason. Resurrection was a buzzy drama that started seeing a ratings decline. Not waiting till midseason is probably a smart move. You don’t want to lose any more audience. It’s not a winning strategy, but ABC just doesn’t want to be in last place.

NBC has football, another super safe move. CBS is shaking things up, banishing Amazing Race...

'Arrow' Season 2 Finale Recap: 'Unthinkable'

'Arrow' Season 2 Finale Recap: 'Unthinkable'
Arrow caught the wandering gaze of television critics and bloggers around mid-season when The CW sent out an advanced copy of an episode. Ever since the advanced copy hit the mailboxes of critics nationwide, Arrow became more part of the pop-cultural fabric. Discussions about ABC's Marvel's Agents of Shield would inevitably include comparisons to The CW's Arrow, and how Marvel could not compare. Perhaps that's why Arrow didn't catch on with the general Internet public, and why it didn't become a buzz-worthy or 'trendy' show until some critics started writing about it. The CW was the Gossip ...

'Supernatural' 9x22 Recap: Gateway To Hell

May 14th, 2014 11:20am EDT
With only one more episode left before the season finale, "Supernatural" offered flashes of mayhem before the storm hits with next week's finale. "Stairway To Heaven" focused on the ugly decisions that must be made in times of war, and thanks to a side of sizzling, uber-violent Dean, angelic suicide bombers, and a dozen one-liners, it made for an entertaining albeit frustrating hour of television.

Grab a giant ice cream sundae, and let's dive in, shall we?

Throughout the episode, each side of the angel-angel-human conflict somehow states that they're doing what they must, w...

Curtis Armstrong Turns Delightfully Bad As 'Supernatural's' Meta
Curtis Armstrong's played the world's angriest man and one of its most popular nerds; now he's taken things to a whole other level as the disgruntled angel Metatron on The CW's Supernatural. BFTV checked back in with Curtis last week to ask him about playing the hit show's current Big Bad and the fantastic year that he's had.

Season 9 of Supernatural has been all about the aftermath of the angels falling from Heaven, so basically everything over the entire year can be blamed on Metatron. What was it like for Curtis to discover just how much he was responsible for? "It's certainly a great s...

'The Vampire Diaries' Season 5 Episode 21 Recap: 'Promised Land'

May 9th, 2014 9:08am EDT
The Vampire Diaries - Promised Land
Michael A. Allowitz’s direction in the teaser, or perhaps more credit is due to the editor of “Promised Land,” was effectively jarring. The Travelers took Stefan and Elena at the end of last week’s episode to drain more of the blood to use in the spell that’d break the magic spell and eliminate witches’ powers, the vampire magic, the hybrid magic, and all that fun. Markos cuts Elena deeply in the wrist, four days into the blood-letting, because she wants her to bleed until she can’t speak. The woman from last week that tried to kill Jeremy in act to save her boyfriend’s life frees Stefan an...
