A title can make or break a TV show. When scrolling through the interactive guide, a TV viewer may stop at a show they've never seen because the title seems interesting. Likewise, a viewer may skip right over a show they would have loved, because the title doesn't hit their target market. Here's a list of five shows that are missing out on viewers because of their name.

Quick side tangent: let's hope this theory doesn't also apply to blog posts as well, because let's face it the title of this post is a little long winded.

"Cougar Town" - This is an obvious choice, and the show has accepte...

April 4th, 2013 9:30am EDT
Men at Work
Danny Masterson has carved out a distinct niche in television comedy. While he's still best known as the hilarious rebel Steven Hyde from FOX's That 70's Show, he's since moved on to make us laugh in a whole different way as the star of TBS's sitcom Men at Work. Before tonight's second-season premiere, BFTV spoke with Danny to ask him what's ahead in the ten new episodes and find out if he considers himself a comedy guy.

"It's funnier than season one," he said of the second cycle. "You're going to sort of see characters evolve - and more of the same good things that we have. The four of us...

It's time for the 19th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, and BFTV recently stepped behind the scenes at The Shrine to get a glimpse of what it takes to put together tonight's two-hour, star-studded broadcast.

Producer Kathy Connell spoke about what sets the SAG Awards apart from the other major ceremonies. "We are separate because this is an award that's given by actors," she explained. "It's given by the actors' union, SAG-AFTRA. There's no other voting group that's larger than ours, and they're professionals who know what it takes to give a fine performance. Everybody in this room will ...

In Memoriam: Why 'Wedding Band' Will Be Missed

January 23rd, 2013 7:45am EST
Wedding Band
On Tuesday, TBS pulled the plug on Wedding Band, electing not to renew the comedy for a second season. It's a sad ending for a show BFTV earlier called the best new comedy on television, but it's also an opportunity to celebrate the ride. Here are five reasons why I'll miss rocking out with Mother of the Bride.

1) The music. You can't have a show called Wedding Band without good music, and it was hugely surprising how great the music was - not only because it was catchy, but because it was real. Shepherded by music guru Adam Schlesinger (from Fountains of Wayne and who also wrote the ridic...

Wedding Band
TBS's Wedding Band has been as much fun as front-row seats to an awesome concert. The TV season's best new comedy has packed in plenty of laughs, covered a list of catchy songs from KISS to Jay-Z, and even induced a  heartwarming moment or two. Tonight, Wedding Band celebrates its first-season finale, and it's sure to go out on a high note.

To mark the occasion, actor Peter Cambor, who plays family man and weekend rock star Eddie, recently talked with me about all the things that are awesome about this show.

"First and foremost, the first thing you do is you read the script, and the writi...

Anything?

Derek Miller
It's been established that TBS's Wedding Band is the best new comedy of the year. Digital Airwaves recently connected with Derek Miller - who plays Mother of the Bride drummer and lover of pyrotechnics Barry - to chat about what makes the hilarious show rock.

"I was kind of on board from the beginning," he said about joining the show, which requires all four leading men to actually be the titular band - singing and playing their own instruments - in addition to delivering the laughs as actors. "I didn't see it as cheesy. I come from an improv background but I also do a show here in Los A...
