‘Empire’ Recap: The Blame Game

11/26/2015 11:34am EST
This “Empire” episode couldn’t have come at a perfect time. Thanksgiving, when families are prepping the turkey and feisty comebacks for the most diss-worthy relatives (ASIDE: Instagram has a whole shade guide under hashtag #thanksgivingclapback Handle with caution.) they’re forced to share it with.

Just as Cookie is forced into one half of a rescue squad—Candace (Vivica Fox) is the other—to search for little sis Carol in Philly. Judging by Cookie’s Elmo red mink and Candace’s heaving breasts it's likely Carol will find them before they find her. Which wouldn’t be bad considering they look...

'Scream Queens': A Rundown From 'Thanksgiving'

'Scream Queens' Recap: 'Thanksgiving,' Accusations, And Bloodlin
Last week was such a tease. Nearly everything we were promised from “Thanksgiving” ended up cut in favor of a lot of whodunit chatter. There was no Grace and Zayday trip to the house of the chainsaw loving grandma. Chad’s house wasn’t remotely haunted like he described. We barely saw anything of Chanel #3’s mom who allegedly had an affair with Charles Manson. Only a few moments were devoted to the twisted Thanksgiving shenanigans of Gigi and the last remaining Red Devil. Overall it was a disappointment. Although there were many revelations and plenty of funny moments, it didn’t live up to t...

Julianne Hough Is 'Excited' For 'Grease Live' As First Pics Are
Julianne Hough stars as Sandy in Fox's ambitious production of "Grease Live" and we have the first pics released of the "Dancing with the Stars" judge as she transforms into Sandy Olsen.

Hough looks nearly unrecognizable as Sandy, the love of greaser Danny Zuko (Aaron Tveit) and nemesis of Rizzo (Vanessa Hudgens), after Sandy transforms into what she thinks her teenage love wants her to be.

"Grease: Live" airs on Fox Jan. 31.

Julianne Hough, Vanessa Hudgens, and Aaron Tveit definitely go together in Grease Live!

Is The 'Bob's Burgers' Thanksgiving Episode The Best Ever?

11/22/2015 2:02pm EST
Did 'Bob's Burgers' Make The Best Thanksgiving TV Episode Ever?
Thanksgiving is just around the corner, which means it's time for Thanksgiving-themed TV episodes. Holiday episodes are a staple all across TV, but perhaps no Turkey Day installment was finer than Bob's Burgers, when the FOX comedy produced the hilarious and heartwarming "Turkey in a Can."

Almost exactly two years ago - November 24, 2013 - FOX aired "Turkey in a Can," which focused on Bob Belcher's (H. Jon Benjamin) obsession with creating the perfect Thanksgiving turkey. Unfortunately for Bob, before his three-day brine can finish, he wakes up to find his turkey in the toilet.

'Empire' Never Fails To Shock Us -- Recap

'Empire' Recap: Can You Believe [SPOILER] Is Having A Lyon Baby?
Just when I was about to hit the snooze button on this season of “Empire” Lee Daniels rang the alarm loud enough for us all to take notice. Only it sounds more like a boxing bell because everyone’s got beef in “My Bad Parts.”

Starting with Lucious, who declares war on Hakeem by using Freda Gatz. With his ego at stake, Hakeem falls right into a rap battle trap. The rap battle—Team Hakeem vs. Team Freda. And Cookie is none too pleased it’s overshadowing her cookout. With boy toy Laz by her side she wags her finger in disapproval at Hakeem’s bold move. Because if he fails so does Lyon Dynasty...

20 Reasons 'Empire's' Rhonda Isn't Pregnant

Do You Think 'Empire's' Rhonda Is Pregnant? Here Are 20 Reasons
Unless she's got a Coco Austin-type belly bump.

1.The last sonogram was three months ago, during "Empire's" season 1 finale.
2. And Rhonda's body shape looks exactly the same. I've had more of a bump eating Olive Garden's all-you-can-eat pasta and bread sticks in less time.

3. No nursery.
4. No due date.
5. No official confirmation it's a boy. Where's the sonogram pic to prove it? Huh? Huh? Most new moms would be flaunting it like they would a couture gown at the MET Gala.
6. No mention of the phantom fetus unless it's to guilt trip family members on their side.

7. The look of dece...

'Scream Queens' Is At Its Peak Of Campiness And Fun

11/18/2015 10:18am EST
Scream Queens
Scream Queens is on a roll. Could this ridiculous show actually be finding its happy medium between cartoonish tomfoolery and narrative storytelling? “Ghost Stories” is funny, campy, and still manages to further the story. The standout characters, Denise, Chad, and Hester get to shine while characters who haven’t yet and never will catch fire, like Pete and Wes, were completely absent. Even Dean Munsch, who is funny but often exists only as a quote machine, had a limit to her presence.

Whether or not you care about the mystery of the Red Devil, there was quite a bit of development on that ...

‘Empire’ Recap: Cookie’s In Bed With Enemies

11/12/2015 9:34am EST
Coming off last week’s heart-pumping A High Hope for a Low Heaven, the slow burn and erratic pacing of ‘True Love Never’ elicited more furrowed brows (like mine) than unpredictable gasps. With “Empire’s” extra episodes (six more than last year) it’s likely one would be a filler. DING, DING, DING! I think we’ve got a winner here, Jonny. For starters, there was no shirtless Hakeem (strike one) but the writers’ rebounded that foul by exposing Laz’ torso for the whole first half. Ok, you stole my attention.

Man candy aside, this episode focused on too many subplots—a season long gripe—with new...

'Scream Queens': A Rundown Of 'Mommie Dearest'

11/11/2015 8:45am EST
Scream Queens
“Mommie Dearest” might be the one episode that takes the mystery of the Red Devil the most seriously. It’s a genuinely great episode, if you apply it to the low standard that Scream Queens has set. There was still a lot of the Ryan Murphy level humor that relies on racism, sexism, and dated pop culture references. However, it also introduced horror homages, new rivalries, and plenty of clues to the mystery of the Red Devil. Best of all, it had the perfect amount of Chanel, which is to say very little compared to every other episode.

Here’s a rundown on “Mommie Dearest:”

In the last ...
