Simon Cowell is set to surround himself with 'angels' for the new season of TV talent show The X Factor with insiders revealing he'll have three top pop females joining him as judges.

Demi Lovato has already confirmed her return to the show and now it looks as if Kelly Rowland, who served as a judge on the show in Britain, will join her.

EW.com reports Rowland is "firming up a deal" to join the show.

There is no word on the identity of the third lady but sources suggest Latina singer and actress Paulina Rubio is in talks to become Cowell's third angel.

5 Shows That Aren't As Popular As They Could Be Because Of Their Names

May 19th, 2013 10:05am EDT
New Girl
A title can make or break a TV show. When scrolling through the interactive guide, a TV viewer may stop at a show they've never seen because the title seems interesting. Likewise, a viewer may skip right over a show they would have loved, because the title doesn't hit their target market. Here's a list of five shows that are missing out on viewers because of their name.

Quick side tangent: let's hope this theory doesn't also apply to blog posts as well, because let's face it the title of this post is a little long winded.

"Cougar Town" - This is an obvious choice, and the show has accepte...

Following rumors that Mariah Carey lip-synched her performance on Thursday night's episode of "American Idol," her rep has come forward to vehemently deny the speculation.

During the singing competition's season finale, Carey sang a medley of her greatest hits, including "Hero," "Vision of Love," "We Belong Together" and "Make it Happen."

Following her performance, many viewers went on Twitter and questioned whether she was singing live because it seemed that her lips weren't matching the words.

'American Idol' Finale Mega-Diary: Complete Recap of Candice Glover's Win

May 17th, 2013 10:11am EDT
Candice Glover is the Season 12 winner
This is it. This is the last one.

For years, I’ve been recapping the cultural touchstone that is the finale of ‘American Idol’ with the classic mega-diary treatment: A blow-by-blow recap of everything that went down on TV’s biggest night.

At least it used to be. Once Upon a Time only the Oscars and Super Bowl drew more viewers than this night, but the last couple year it’s viewership has slowly degraded to the point where one of this season’s results shows got beat out in the ratings by a repeat of ‘The Big Bang Theory.’

That’s enough to prove that the ‘Idol’ finale just isn’t anywhere c...

'American Idol' Recap: Candice Crushes Kree In The Finale

May 16th, 2013 12:10pm EDT
Candice Glover performs on AMERICAN IDOL
This is the finale recap that I never thought I’d write. One that didn’t include Angie. One that didn’t include the girl that was number one on my power rankings all year long.

It doesn’t feel right. It feels like this year’s victory will be tainted. Like Ang Lee’s Oscar win this year after Ben Affleck’s not getting nominated. That each of these girls should realistically be playing for second while Angie crushes them once again.

That isn’t how it turned out, and I suppose their careers will tell if that’s how it really should have happened, but, as far as I’m concerned here’s how the bat...

Chris Richardson On The Right Track After 'American Idol'

May 15th, 2013 12:20pm EDT
Chris Richardson
Chris Richardson may have come to national attention thanks to American Idol, but there's a lot more to the singer-songwriter than just a fifth-place finish on a reality TV show. He recently sat down with BFTV to share the complete picture of who he is and talk about establishing a music career after being in the television spotlight.

"I feel like I've gotten past that show, and [I'm] being introduced as Chris Richardson, and not so much as Chris Richardson from American Idol," reflected the Virginia native, who released the single "Joy and Pain" in August of 2012. Asked if he was concerne...

Hell's Kitchen
After Amanda Giblin's exit from FOX's Hell's Kitchen, BFTV caught up with the 28-year-old executive chef from Orange County, New York to get her post-competition thoughts.

"I am a damn good sauté chef! I rocked the fish station every time I was put there. I am mostly proud to be associated with such a wonderful, strong group of women!" Amanda enthused, though she also told us, "I would have taken better control over the situation, not allowing myself to get so upset and frazzled."

What did she take away from her time in Hell's Kitchen? "I find as a Chef now, I’m more confident in my decis...

Randy Jackson

Jackson survived far longer than the original team, which was comprised of Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul, who left  several seasons ago to pursue other interests.
