The Whispers
Summer hasn't officially began yet, and I'm already clamoring for new entertainment. Dinosaurs, spies and tropical rom-coms may rule (or bomb) at the box office, but this summer's roster of big budget popcorn movies has yet to pique my interest. Thankfully, there is a new crop of television shows ripe for the picking. Here's the scoop on 5 can't-miss new shows!

The Whispers, ABC

Despite having a block of award-winning family-friendly programming, the ultimate goal of ABC's is to turn adorable, innocent children into the creepiest villains on television. "The Whispers" is about an in...

Penny Johnson Jerald is leaving the ABC hit "Castle."

The ABC actress shared her shock on May 29 via Twitter where she stated, "To my Castle fans around the world, as of late yesterday I am surprised and saddened to learn that I will no longer be a part of the Castle family," she commented. "Thank you all for your support and love. Hugs from PJJ."

Jerald portrayed captain Victoria Gates, the newest member of the 12th precinct that took over after Roy Montgomery's death.

The actress began her run on the hit ABC series in 2011. Prior to "Castle," Jerald appeared on the series "Bones," "NCI...

'The Bachelorette' Recap: Punch Drunk Love... Literally, And Oth
Last week's three-hour "The Bachelorette" premiere madness has ended. Do you feel a wave of tranquility across your entire body? That's what this is. Now Kaitlyn and her many menfolk can begin their rigorous love-finding search in earnest.

Oh, and "in earnest" means "strapping on boxing gloves and clobbering each other in the head." It's a boxing competition! The guys get to train with Laila Ali (awesome), then use their day's worth of boxing expertise to duke it out in the ring.

Here's a question: does Kaitlyn actually box? Usually group dates have some kind of connection to the Bachelor...

New 'Bachelorette' Chosen, Was It Britt or Kaitlyn?

May 20th, 2015 10:14am EDT
'The Bachelorette' Recap: Kaitlyn Bristowe Is Crowned Bacheloret
We ended Monday's half of "The Bachelorette's" season premiere on a big dumb cliffhanger. Chris Harrison was about to reveal the next Bachelorette. But he didn't. Because cliffhangers.

The second of two "Bachelorette" premieres cuts right to the chase: who's getting that tearful limo ride back to normal human civilization - Britt or Kaitlyn?

It's actually pretty tactful. Chris approaches Britt. He informs her that her horde of potential husbands has chosen Kaitlyn, not her (smart choice, husband horde). She's upset, but she accepts her fate. Once again, an ABC intern is called to sop up t...

'The Bachelorette' Season Premiere Recap: Meet The Crazies Compe
Is there anything more beautiful than true love? No. No there is not. There is, however, something more entertaining: 25 jackasses all competing to win the affection of two women they saw on a few episodes of reality TV last year. On a dating show franchise entering its 30th (!!) combined season and boasting six whole couples that haven't yet divorced in a messy hate-splosion.

"The Bachelorette" is back!

There is, of course, a twist this season. This is "Bachelorette" x 2 - two lovely ladies seeking a life partner. Britt Nilsson and Kaitlyn Bristowe both got the boot from Chris Soules on ...

Did You Find The 'Scandal' Finale To Be Horrible?

May 15th, 2015 9:57am EDT
'Scandal' Review: The Infuriatingly Bad Finale 'You Can't Take C
Well, that was infuriating. Just terrible. Really, really bad.

“You Can’t Take Command” was the poorest showing Scandal has ever had. Plot lines were wrapped up in the worst way possible. Characters assassinated in the quest for “shocking” moments. Tension evaporated. A reunion that was not earned in any way, shape, or form.

What the heck is going on with Scandal?

Nothing was really shocking. Not in the true sense of the word. Shocking moments, which Scandal is obsessed with creating, is not just about having characters do insane things they would never do. Just because the audience woul...

5 Things To Know About 'Grey's Anatomy' Season 11 Finale
I suppose the most shocking thing about this season was Derek’s death. And will forever be marked as the season Derek Shepherd kicked the bucket. Which is why there were no shocking explosions, earthquakes or shootings in the season finale episode “You’re My Home.” Instead, we got an hour mostly focused on the case of the week and Grey-Sloan couples making up and breaking up. Here are five things you need to know about “Grey’s Anatomy’s” season 11 finale.

1. Grey-Sloan Docs Pull Off the Impossible (…Yes, Again!)

Picking up from where we left off, April is still standing atop a flatbed tru...

'The Middle' Wraps Up 6th Season

May 14th, 2015 9:20am EDT
The Middle - The Graduate
Sometimes in life, you just have to have faith that things are going to work out. That has not usually been the message of “The Middle,” (at least, not without any caveats), but Heck family life has been a little different throughout Season 6. So many episodes of this show have ended by making the best of a less-than-ideal situation. A few wins would be thrown in here and there. But the wins of the season 6 finale were of a different tenor. Viewed in just the context of this episode, they may have appeared unearned, but they were in fact part of a pattern of winning behavior.

Axl fell into...
