Actress Angelina Jolie has returned to work as a humanitarian a month after stunning the world with her double mastectomy revelation by jetting off to Jordan in celebration of World Refugee Day.

The Salt star shocked fans in May when she announced she had undergone surgery to reduce her risk of developing breast cancer after discovering she was a carrier of the 'faulty' BRCA1 gene.

A tourist who was seriously injured in Toronto last week has publicly thanked actor John Malkovich for saving his life.

Last Thursday night, the Being John Malkovich actor raced to help Jim Walpole after the 77 year old tripped over scaffolding close to the city's King Edward Hotel on and lay in a pool of blood in the street.

The mystery donor who paid off Detroit Masonic Temple's $142,000 tax bill and saved the historic Michigan building from foreclosure has been revealed - former White Stripes star Jack White.
 
According to the Detroit News, just four days before the payment was due on June 3, a check was deposited to cover the cost of the bill.

Oklahoma native Kristin Chenoweth is selling special T-shirts to help raise money for families and their pets in the aftermath of the state's deadly tornado on Monday.

The Deck the Halls star, is offering the Lending a Helping Paw shirts for $25 through her animal charity Maddie's Corner, which she named after her beloved dog Maddie.

Kristin's goal is to sell 1,000 shirts to generate more than $17,500, which she will donate to pets in need of medical attention after the natural disaster, which ripped through the town of Moore, wiping out entire streets and claiming 24 lives.
