December 11th, 2014 9:08am EST
Law & Order SVU
Welcome back, SVU-viewers. Is it just me or did those two weeks on hiatus feel like two years? Now that we’ve seen every holiday-based SNL made, we’re back to NBC’s regularly scheduled "Law & Order SVU" show about sex crime scenarios, or what I’ve been nicknaming it lately “Ripped from the Headlines: Real Life Sex Crime Re-enactments,” but on a serious note the midseason finale covers a topic that should be in more headlines: backlogs of rape kits that go uninvestigated throughout the country.

Given the amount of sexual assaults happening, if you read daily papers, it’s definitely a releva...

'How To Get Away With Murder' Season 1 Episode 6 Recap: A Dweeb In D-bag's Clothing

October 31st, 2014 10:43am EDT
How to get Away With Murder
After weeks of being left out of the murder club, tonight we finally get a glimpse into Asher Millstone, who is really just a complete dweeb in douchebag’s clothing. Asher provides some much serious comic relief on the show and is also perhaps the “purest” of the kids. Sure, he’s the poster boy for white privilege and wears it proudly on his button down-sweater combos, but there’s something also so sweet about his awfulness.

Asher may have grown up as a rich, entitled little Main Line brat (I’m assuming he grew up on the Main Line, which is a very rich and old area of Philadelphia suburbs)...

grey's anatomy
In the wise words of pop star Usher, sometimes “you gotta let it burn.” Callie and Arizona have finally walked away from their long-simmering marriage, relatively unscathed in “Grey’s Anatomy’s” fifth episode “Bend and Break.”

The ep opens with Callie and Arizona pitting their swords of resentment against each other in couple’s therapy. The therapist suggests taking a breather from one another to evaluate their situation. 7 Reasons ‘Grey’s Anatomy’s’ Callie and Arizona Need To Call It
Every relationship has a breaking point and from the looks of tonight’s "Grey's Anatomy" episode “Bend and Break” Callie and Arizona have reached theirs. You can call it the seven year itch that CalZona has refused to confront until now. The proverbial band aid they’ve been using to cover their bullet wound of a relationship refuses to stick any more. Evidenced by tonight’s sneak peak listed above. Well, guess what team Callie, team Arizona? The wound is officially fatal. I call time of death at 8pm. As if that’s not enough to tag their shipper status as D.E.A.D, I give seven reasons, don’t...

6 Powerful Scenes From Duke Porn Star Inspired 'Law & Order SVU'
"SVU’s" “Porn Stars Requiem” episode picks up where the writers left off: on a never-ending loop of ripped from the headlines story lines. Suddenly the vision of a newbie writer slaving over an original sex-based trauma tale to present to the exec producers comes to mind, only to find it in the trash alongside “Law & Order L.A.” But I digress; this week’s installment is inspired by Duke porn star Belle Knox, a staunch defender of using porn to pay her college tuition, and the recent spike in college sexual assaults. In SVU’s case the coed/porn star attends Hudson University and is the victi...
