'New Girl' Season 2 Finale Recap: 'Elaine's Big Day'

May 16th, 2013 9:56am EDT
Elaine's Big Day
In the “New Girl” season finale, CeCe’s big day turned out to be an even bigger day for someone else. That, along with a few pranks, a frisky badger and the rise of a new love triangle, made for a satisfying end to a hilarious and upbeat sophomore season.

The day of CeCe’s wedding found Nick and Jess in a happy and joyous mood. The two spent much of their time flirting with one another, to the disproval of Jess’ dad (Rob Reiner) and the annoyance of the other roommates. Winston and Schmidt were particularly annoyed when a more grown-up Nick refused to take part in their silly hijinks, whic...

'Supernatural' Finale Recap: Fall From Grace

May 16th, 2013 9:10am EDT
Supernatural
If I had to describe one word to showrunner's Jeremy Carver's season of The CW's "Supernatural," it would be ambitious.  If I had to do the same with the season finale, it would be spectacular.  From writing to acting to dazzling special effects, "Sacrifice” was as grand and cinematic as the blockbusters that will fill the cineplex this summer.

Grab your Xanax, and let's dive in, shall we?

Crowley is still making good on his diabolical promise to slaughter every person the Winchesters ever saved, and after offing Sarah Blake, a favorite of Sammy’s and fans alike, Crowley has the spit...

Alan Danzis and Bluth Banana Stand
Portia de Rossi was on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night, where an Arrested Development clip was shared that finally revealed a guest star. Also, we take a look at the banana stands sprouting up across the world.

In the clip, Lindsay (de Rossi) and her husband Tobias (David Cross) try to get a deal from a real estate agent played by returning guest star Ed Helms. If you recall, Ed played the same character back in 2004, when Lindsay misinterpreted his sales tactics as romantic advances.

Nine years later, not much has changed. Lindsay once again mistakes his question about her havi...

Bill Hader is leaving Saturday Night Live's cast after eight seasons on the show.

Hader told the New York Times, "It was a hard decision, but it has to happen at some point. It got to a point where I said, 'Maybe it's just time to go.'"

He is known for his hilarious role in Superbad and voice acting gigs in several animated comedies such as Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. The episode began with Marshall and Lily packing for Italy.  Lily picks up the phone and it is Judy, Marshall’s mom.  It turns out that Marshall had still not told his mother about the move, an...

'Family Tree' Preview: Christopher Guest Takes His Comedy Formula To HBO

May 11th, 2013 11:03am EDT
Family Tree
Long before The Office, Parks and Recreation, and Modern Family turned the mockumentary into a sitcom staple, Christopher Guest cornered the genre on the silver screen. With comedy classics like Best in Show, Waiting for Guffman, This is Spinal Tap, and A Mighty Wind under his belt, it’s no surprise that Guest decided to bring his brand of entertainment to television.

With Family Tree, Guest and co-writer/creator Jim Piddock have taken his classic formula and squeezed it down to a thirty-minute episode format for HBO, turning it into a clever semi-improvised comedy following that single-ca...

'Glee' Finale Recap: Blaine, Rachel And Co. Give 'All Or Nothing'

May 10th, 2013 8:58am EDT
All or Nothing
The season finale of “Glee” featured big guest stars, a big audition and a big competition—but the overall episode was a tad underwhelming and left some burning questions unanswered.

One of these major unanswered questions is in regards to Rachel and her big Broadway audition: Did she get the part? Despite being the show’s leading lady, Lea Michele was noticeably absent for most of the episode. As Rachel, she gave a tearjerker of a performance for her final “Funny Girl” callback, but there are no clues that indicate the role is hers.

The start of the episode found Brittany in meeting with...
