ABC Cancels Reba McEntire's 'Malibu Country'

Reba McEntire's latest sitcom, Malibu Country, has been cancelled by ABC.

The show, which debuted in November, featured McEntire playing a divorced woman trying to reviver her music career. Season one wrapped in March and the network has chosen not to renew it.

"So I guess you've all heard we did not get a 2nd season pick up for Malibu Country," Reba wrote on Twitter. "Not to worry. Everything happens for a reason! Here's to our new and exciting adventure, whatever it may be. SO looking forward to it. Love you all for your constant support!"

Ever since cult hit Friday Night Lights ended its run on television, fans have been clamoring for the characters to hit the big screen. Star Connie Britton is one of those fans.

Britton, who currently stars in "Nashville," talked about a possible film while on the red carpet for the White House Correspondents' Dinner. According to E! Online, she said, "I would love it to happen. I'm a big supporter of it happening. I don't know if we will see it or not.

Comedy Central To End 'Futurama' After Upcoming Season

Comedy Central has revealed that the upcoming season of the Emmy-winning animated comedy Futurama will be its last.

Thirteen episodes will make up the season, which begins on June 19 with back-to-back episodes. Creator and producer Matt Groening of Simpsons fame said in a statement, "I'm very proud of the upcoming season. If this is indeed the end of ‘Futurama,’ it's a fantastic finish to a good, long run."

'Buckwild' Cancelled Following Star's Death, Producer Slams Network

MTV has cancelled reality series Buckwild after one of the stars, Shain Gandee, died last week. Now series producer J.P. Williams has ripped the network, saying, "This will get ugly."

The 21 year-old Gandee died on April 1 after his truck was submerged in mud and caused carbon monoxide to enter the vehicle's interior. The toxic fumes took the lives of Gandee, his uncle, and a friend when the mud also kept their doors from opening.

After suspending the show for several weeks, the network ultimately decided to cancel the series completely.

HBO Cancels 'Enlightened'

After just two seasons on the air, HBO has canceled Laura Dern's critically claimed drama "Enlightened."

The series centered on self-destructive Amy, who after experiencing a spiritual awakening, strives to live an enlightened life, creating chaos at home and work in the process.

Dern co-created the series with writer/director Mike White, and the actress won a Golden Globe for her role.

The cast of 90210 learned their show had been canceled by reading about it on Twitter. Last week, CW network execs announced that the show's current fifth season would be its last, but they didn’t tell the cast directly—they let the news leak online.

Anthony Edwards' new TV series Zero Hour has been axed after just three episodes. 

The former ER star made his big return to the small screen in the conspiracy thriller, in which he played the boss of a paranormal-enthusiast magazine who learns he must save the world. 

But Zero Hour is destined to be short-lived after executives at ABC decided to cancel the show.

James Van Der Beek has responded to the news that his show Don't Trust The B---- in Apt. 23 was cancelled, asking fans to not take their anger out on ABC.

The actor took to his Facebook page to write, "Sad to say ABC has pulled Don't Trust the B in Apt 23 and will not be airing the 8 remaining episodes any time soon. Translation: we’ve basically been cancelled."
