Egyptian-born French singer/songwriter Georges Moustaki died at his home in Nice, France, on Thursday following a long illness. He was 79.

Born Giuseppe Mustacchi on May 3, 1934, to Greek Jews from the island of Corfu, Moustaki spent his childhood in Alexandria, Egypt, where he was taught French. His family spoke Italian at home and outside the house he spoke Arabic. His fluency in multiple language led to a catalog of nearly 300 songs in seven languages: French, Italian, Greek, Portuguese, Spanish, English and Arabic; and his biggest hit, "Milord," which he wrote for French singer Edith P...

Steve Forrest, known for starring in "The Longest Day" opposite John Wayne, died surrounded by close friends and family May 18. He was 86.

Before Forrest began an entertainment career that lasted almost 60 years, he was a sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II and fought in the Battle of the Bulge.

Following the war, he moved to Los Angeles to attend college at UCLA. After receiving his bachelor's in theatre arts, he was discovered by Gregory Peck while working as a stagehand at the La Jolla Playhouse. Peck used his influence to get Forrest a screen test with MGM Studios.

After secretly battling bile duct cancer, Ray Manzarek -- musician, singer, producer, film director, writer, and co-founder and keyboardist of The Doors -- has died. The news was reported on the band's Facebook page on Monday.

The keyboard player co-founded the band with frontman Jim Morrison in 1965. He passed away at a clinic in Germany at age 74. He is survived by his wife Dorothy, son Pablo, and three grandchildren.

TV psychologist Dr. Joyce Brothers has died, aged 85.

The popular columnist and U.S. television personality passed away on Monday (13May13) in New York City from natural causes, according to her long-time publicist Sanford Brokaw.

Dr. Brothers, who was a pioneer of the television advice show, first gained fame as a winning contestant on television game show The $64,000 Question in 1955, becoming the only woman ever to win the top prize.

Officials have released the cause of Slayer guitarist Jeff Hanneman's death -- alcohol-related liver cirrhosis. The rocker, 49, died on May 2, and his death was due to an irreversible scarring of the liver.

Fans, friends, and family gathered in Atlanta Georgia to remember Kris Kross star Chris Kelly following his untimely death.

An acoustic version of Jump played at the Murray Brothers Funeral Home as people arrived to view Kelly's open-casket. The funeral is planned for today.

A sign attached to Kelly's coffin read, "'Cause that's what I was born to do…" a lyric from "Warm It Up."

Lamar Williams said, "He will be very missed, especially within our family. To the world he was Kris Kross, but to us he was just Chris."

Veteran British actor/filmmaker Bryan Forbes has died after a long illness.

The 86 year old passed away at his home in Surrey, England on Wednesday (08May13).

He is best known for 1973 horror film The Stepford Wives and his 1961 directorial debut Whistle Down The Wind, which starred a young Hayley Mills and Alan Bates.
