Jadakiss Is Tough As Nail On Comeback Album ‘Top 5 Dead Or Alive
It’s been a while since the world heard from Yonkers, New York MC Jadakiss – 2009 to be exact. Despite releasing The Last Kiss in ‘09, Jadakiss’ last notable album is arguably Kiss Of Death from 2004, featuring #11 hit single “Why?” featuring Anthony Hamilton. After a six-year hiatus, Jadakiss returns with his fourth album, Top 5 Dead or Alive. Despite what could be considered an eternity out of the spotlight in the music biz, the brash, distinct voiced MC doesn’t miss a beat on his comeback album.

Over the course of Top 5 Dead or Alive, Jadakiss seems to collaborate with “everybody and h...

Chris Stapleton Makes It Two Weeks Atop The Billboard 200
Chris Stapleton sure came up – big time. After reentering the Billboard 200 with his critically lauded debut Traveller at number one, Stapleton keeps the top spot warm. Why is this surprising this week? There were several new albums, but none of them had the support to unseat the country singer/songwriter. Interestingly, Stapleton still had a big impact, to the tune of 124,000 units (78% of those were sales).

The newbies also couldn’t take the runner-up spot, with Eric Church’s surprise effort Mr. Misunderstood improving from #3 to #2 despite losing support. Still, with a modest 65,000 uni...

5 Seconds Of Summer Bests Carrie Underwood For No. 1 On Billboar
On the Billboard 200 this week, it was youth that prevailed in a race for the number one spot. In the end, Aussie band 5 Seconds of Summer scored atop the Billboard 200 for a second consecutive time with Sounds Good Feels Good. While Sounds Good Feels Good was unable to top the numbers put up by their 2014 self-titled debut album, the 192,000 units easily trumped the more modest numbers put up by Pentatonix’s chart-topping album last week. Of those 192,000 units, 93% were pure sales.
