The 'Pitch Perfect 2' Soundtrack Is Aca-Awesome At No. 1

Pitch Perfect 2 definitely benefitted from the success of the original Pitch Perfect soundtrack and movie, hence the energetic 107,000 units start. Lately, soundtracks have been on a roll on the albums chart, and Pitch Perfect 2 isn’t about to end the run.

Besides Pitch Perfect 2, the only other new release to enter the top 10 was Incubus’ EP, Trust Fall (Side A), which landed at #6 with a modest 40,000 units. With Incubus’ EP being the fi...

Will Fans Enjoy Jamie Foxx’s New Album?

May 20th, 2015 2:42pm EDT
Review: Jamie Foxx Keeps Things Sensual On ‘Hollywood’
How does one characterize Jamie Foxx? The best way to describe Foxx is as multitalented. He is one of few actors – an Academy Award winner by the way – who can convincingly play dramatic roles as well as comedic roles. Furthermore, Foxx is one of few actors who has nailed the ‘musician’ thing – he’s a classically trained pianist with golden pipes.

After a five-year hiatus between albums, Foxx returns with his most sensually driven lengthily titled album yet, Hollywood: A Story of a Dozen Roses. Has the 47-year old Foxx lost his swag? Nope, not in the least – perhaps he overdoes the ‘sw...

B.B. King Left Us So Many Great Songs

May 18th, 2015 7:40pm EDT
Countdown: 11 Greatest B.B. King Songs
On May 14, 2015, the world lost one of its greatest musicians – Riley Ben King, better known as B.B. King (1925 – 2015). King was known for his easygoing, bluesy guitar style, played on “Lucille” and his gritty, commanding lead vocals. The complete musician, B.B. King is undoubtedly one of the best and most distinct to ever live. Though the blues were his ‘ace in the hole,’ King’s contribution to R&B and rock and roll itself shouldn’t be understated. Even into his 80s, King was a avid touring musician. He will be greatly missed, but his music is timeless; it will live on forever.
