Johnny Depp escaped serious injury when a stunt went wrong on the set of his upcoming film The Lone Ranger.

The star, who plays the Native American Tonto in the Disney adaptation of the classic TV show, was riding his horse Scout alongside Armie Hammer during an action scene when his saddle came loose and he lost his grip.

A new behind-the-scenes video released by the movie studio shows Depp falling off his horse while riding at full-speed during the shoot, narrowly avoiding being trampled by Scout, who appears to try and avoid hurting the actor. The crew rushed out to aid the fallen star...

Brad Pitt waved and smiled at fans while signing autographs at the "World War Z" premiere in New York City on Monday.

The actor, who arrived solo at the event, took some time out for the fans, telling reporters: "I remember when I first got to L.A. and I saw the first person from a film, and I just got a big rush out of it."
 
He added, "They've been waiting here all this time...I just think it's a nice thing, and I'm a dad now."

Brad Pitt's young son Maddox has been bitten by the acting bug after playing a zombie in his father's new horror movie World War Z.

The 11 year old was given a tiny role in the apocalyptic thriller alongside his adopted dad, who admits the youngster was eager to get on set and join in the action.

He tells People.com, "He's got a small piece in it (the movie). He's a zombie who then gets shot. I don't know what that says about my parenting!"

Neil Patrick Harris is returning to Broadway to star in "Hedwig and the Angry Inch," a cult musical about a transgender East German singer. NPH just hosted the Tony Awards last week, and on Monday producers of the stage show announced that the "How I Met Your Mother" star would be joining the cast. The success of Superman re-boot Man of Steel over its opening weekend, pulling in a record $113.1 million (not including the $12 million from Thursday night screenings), can mean only one thing... a sequel.

Not surprisingly, Warner Bros Pictures has already greenlit a sequel to the film and is reportedly fast-tracking it for a 2014 release.

'Man Of Steel' Dominates Weekend Box Office, Breaks June Records

New superman flick "Man Of Steel" made box office history after earning a staggering $113.1 million over the weekend.

The film, starring Henry Cavill as the iconic superhero, had the biggest June opening ever, beating the record set by "Toy Story 3" in 2010 (which made $110.3 million).

In addition, "Man of Steel," directed by Zack Snyder, earned $12 million from Thursday night screenings for a total of $125.1 million.

"Man of Steel" centers on a young man with extraordinary powers who tries to discover where he came from and what he was sent to Earth to do. Amy Adams also stars.
