Miley Cyrus has decided to spend New Year's Eve in Times Square rather than Miami, Fla. The actress was scheduled to performe alongside Pharrell Wililams at the Fountainbleau Miami Beach hotel but decided to go north for the celebration.
She tweeted on Thursday: "Smilers! There's been a change in my NYE plans. @RyanSeacrest asked me to perform in Times Square for #RockinEve!!"
She added: "I'm bummed I won't be in Miami wanna thank the homies @Fontainebleau 4 their support #turnupforme."
The singer will be joined by several other stars, including Ariana Grande, Capital Cities, Daughtry, The Fray, Robin Thicke, Fall Out Boy, Florida Georgia Line, Jason Derulo, Enrique Iglesias and Jennifer Hudson.
Cyrus was recently named MTV's Artist of the Year, partially due to her provocative performance at the MTV Video Music Awards over the summer. And in November she smoked a joint on stage before accepting her Best Video prize for "Wrecking Ball" at the MTV European Music Awards in Rotterdam.
Despite being on the short list, she was not named Time's Person of the Year.
