Puddle Of Mudd front man Wes Scantlin's neighbor Sasha Gradiva has spent months embroiled in a "ridiculous" feud over a patio which resulted in his arrest on a vandalism charge.
On Wednesday, the 41 year-old singer was detained by police after allegedly taking a chain saw to the patio owned by electro-pop recording artist Gradiva, and she has now revealed the problems between the pair have been going on for some time.
Gradiva tells The Hollywood Reporter, "This has been going on for a while, a few months. I didn't really want to talk about it. I just focus on my music, but (the patio incident) was just completely ridiculous."
The Russian-born star claims she has called police on numerous occasions and has sent several letters to Scantlin to address the dispute, which focuses on a portion of her patio visible from his property.
She adds, "I called the police multiple times. Every time, he would run into his house and lock the doors and he wouldn't open them... Police couldn't exactly get him for my call, but (this time) they got him. He literally was jumping from my patio to his roof, and (police officers) were running around his house to catch him...
"He gets really creative with his ideas to annoy m. He put a huge flag on the border of my wall. On my side, it had the name of his band. On the other, it was an American flag. So whoever would look at it from the street would just see an American flag and from my windows, I just see a big flag with Puddle of Mudd written on it... I bought the house with this patio. (My property) was built more than 10 years ago... I don't know why he decided to bother me because the previous owner, they didn't have any issues."
Scantlin was arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism.
