Jessica Alba Honored With Champion For Children Award
On Monday, multi-talented actress Jessica Alba was honored in Connecticut in acknowledgment of her philanthropic efforts.
The Machete star, who has two young daughters, was handed the Champion for Children Award by Dr. Philip J. Landrigan, the director of Mount Sinai Children's Environmental Health Center at a luncheon event at the Hyatt Regency in Greenwich.
Alba was given the honor for helping advance the center's mission through her work, which includes her eco-friendly baby product line Honest and her book, The Honest Life, based on bringing her children up in a non-toxic household.
Last year's award was presented to Sen. Frank Lautenberg of New Jersey.
