The made-for-television movie "Liz & Dick" stars Lindsay Lohan and Grant Bowler as Elizabeth Taylor & Richard Burton. The film hits DVD on May 14.
For nearly a quarter of a century, Taylor and Burton were Hollywood royalty and their fiery romance - often called the marriage of the century - was the most notorious, publicized and celebrated love affair of its day.
Swarmed by paparazzi worldwide, their love affair was played out entirely in front of the media from the time they met on the set of the major motion picture Cleopatra, left their respective spouses, married and divorced, only to remarry and divorce once again.
Despite their roller coaster romance for the public eye to see, Liz and Dick shared an undeniable love greater than most people could ever dream of.
While promoting the film, Lohan said: "I'm a huge Elizabeth Taylor fan, and I relate to her on a lot of levels - living in the public eye, dealing with the stress of what other people say, whether it's true or not.
"I personally understand Liz because you're living your life for everyone to see and people are growing with you. You get to a point where you become numb to it, and you just live your life in that way you feel you need to live it."
