Odd Future rapper Tyler, The Creator is risking yet more controversy by writing a track about the Columbine school massacre.
The Bastard hit-maker, who has previously been accused of homophobia and misogyny over his lyrics, sparked outrage in 2011 when he described Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold - who gunned down 12 students and a teacher during the 1999 horror - as "probably really cool people."
Now, he has revisited the issue by writing a new song about the shooting, but he is adamant he does not sympathize with the killers and is merely trying to understand their motivations.
He tells NME magazine, "I tried to write a song from their perspective, to try and figure that out. Those kids were nerds, f**king dweebs. I'm intrigued as to how they thought, not what they did. How do regular kids become what they became?"
Harris and Klebold stunned the world in April, 1999 when they marched into Columbine High School in Columbine, Colorado - where they were both students - planted bombs, and began gunning down classmates. They killed 13 people and injured a further 24 before committing suicide.
