Production company bosses behind MTV reality TV show Buckwild have offered to cover the funeral costs of the show's late star Shain Gandee.
The 21 year old was found dead in a car in West Virginia on Monday, along with his Uncle David and a third unnamed man, after the trio went missing during an off-road adventure trip. Autopsy results confirm the three died from carbon monoxide poisoning after inhaling a fatal amount of toxic fumes.
Gandee's family had appealed for donations to help cover funeral costs, but now chiefs at Parallel Entertainment and Zoo Productions have stepped in to help with the financial arrangements, according to TMZ.com.
J.P. Williams, CEO of Parallel Entertainment, tells the website, "Shain was a great kid with a big heart who had endless love for his mom and dad. I am from West Virginia and this show reminded me of how I grew up."
Donations already raised for Gandee's funeral will now go to his family to help pay off expenses incurred during the search effort and any remaining funds will go towards the funerals of the other two men.
A public service for the star will be held on Sunday.
