Actress Eva Mendes refuses to discuss her personal life with boyfriend Ryan Gosling because she is "uncomfortable" sharing their relationship with the world.
Mendes recently sat down for an interview with New York Magazine to promote the couple's new film The Place Beyond the Pines, but when the conversation turned to the real-life lovers and how they first met, the 39 year old called time on the chat.
She said, "That's where I start to shut down, because it gets into personal territory that I don't feel comfortable talking about. So sorry."
The journalist then asked if Mendes would ever want kids like her character in the movie, prompting the Training Day star to laugh and excuse herself as she headed for the bathroom: "I'm so out of here! You know the cartoon where the steam comes out and it says, 'Boop-beep-boop?' System down!"
The same privacy rules apparently apply to the couple's dogs Hugo and George, with the tight-lipped beauty insisting she wishes photo editors would blur their furry faces like British publications do with children.
She added, "I'll go somewhere and they'll (paparazzi) be like, 'Hey, Hugo!' and I'm like, 'How do you know Hugo's name? That's so creepy!'"
