Miranda LambertMiranda Lambert is at the center of a police investigation in her Oklahoma hometown amid allegations she threatened to punch a fellow resident during a real estate dispute.

The House That Built Me hit-maker has been named in a police report filed by Tishomingo local Melanie Peden earlier this month. She accuses the Grammy winner of losing her temper after she was invited to check out new store, Two Doors Down Junktique, which is located close to Lambert's own home goods shop, The Pink Pistol, which opened in November.

Peden, 48, claims the 29 year old, who lives in the city with her singer husband Blake Shelton, reportedly flew into a rage when she learned the accuser had snapped up the property from under her nose.

She tells the National Enquirer, "(Lambert) blurted out that I stole this property from her. I knew she was inquiring about this property - four years ago - but she never had a contract with a realtor. I was shocked when she became so angry with me for buying it so many years later...

"She had a complete meltdown and threatened to 'punch me in the mouth' if I kept talking. She also said she was going to take me to court... I stood my ground and asked her to leave my store."

Peden reported the March 5th incident to cops and officers from the Tishomingo Police Department are now looking into the case.

However, Officer Thomas Hankins reveals they have yet to question Lambert about the complaint: "It has been very difficult to set up a time to speak with her (Lambert) because of scheduling conflicts."

A representative for Lambert had yet to respond to requests for a comment as WENN went to press.
