New mom Sara Rue is refusing to bow to peer pressure and shed her baby weight, insisting it's more important to bond with her daughter than to get a "hot bod".

The Idiocracy actress gave birth to daughter Talulah last month and admits it is a daily struggle not to worry about her waistline.

The actress famously shed 50 pounds in seven months and ran a half-marathon before her 2011 wedding to Talulah's father Kevin Price, but she has no plans to pick up such a rigorous workout regime post-pregnancy.

She tells Us Weekly magazine, "I feel ashamed of Hollywood for that pressure they put on women. It's awful. I fight the conflict that I have in my own brain over that every day about baby weight and it's the last thing you should be thinking about.

"Some women give birth and then two weeks later look amazing. I don't think I'm going to be one of those women, and I'm OK with that. I just want to be a good mom; I don't really care about having a hot bod."
