Magical Worlds In Movies: 'Oz,' 'Cirque Du Soleil,' 'The Hobbit' & More!
There's a theme in films these days - magical worlds. Moviegoers yearn for escapism, and what better way to do it than emerse oneself in a world so different than our own?
"Oz the Great and Powerfu,l" starring James Franco, Mila Kunis, and Michelle Williams, is opening in theaters this weekend, and "Cirque Du Soleil: Worlds Away" arrives on DVD and Blu-ray March 12.
Warner Bros. recently released "Jack The Giant Slayer" in theaters, and "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" will be available as home entertainment on March 19.
Director Andrew Adamson (who helmed another magical film, "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe") teamed with producer James Cameron ("Avatar") to bring the magic of Cirque du Soleil to the big screen in stunning 3D.
