Seann William Scott and his model fiancee Lindsay Frimodt have broken off their engagement.
 
After a few months of dating, the "American Pie" star proposed to the former Victoria's Secret beauty on St. Valentine's Day last year, but the couple has since parted ways.
 
The actor's representative has confirmed the news to UsMagazine.com, and a source insists they are still friends.
The insider says, "They remain friends. It was a very amicable split."
 
Last April, Scott, who has previously been linked to actresses January Jones and Jaime King, revealed he was terrified Frimodt would dump him if she saw how vulgar and clueless his movie characters were.
 
He said, "I don't how I got a girl like my fiancee. She hadn't seen American Pie, thank god. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't be engaged."
