Mark Wahlberg has turned his young son into an ardent New England Patriots fan after taking him to a recent game and introducing him to his sporting heroes.
The Ted star and his kid were given all-access passes to visit the team's Foxborough stadium as guests of owner Robert Kraft when the Patriots hammered the Houston Texans in the play-offs last weekend.
Father and son met the players in the locker room, watched them warm up on the field and were even present when coach Bill Belichick led the pre-game prayer. And now little Michael is an avid fan desperate to get his hands on Super Bowl tickets.
The actor says, "It was amazing... He met all the players after the game... We stayed out until two in the morning.
"(Now) all he wants to know is if they're gonna go to the Super Bowl can we go."
And young Michael's enthusiasm has really got Wahlberg fired up as the Patriots prepare for another home game against the Baltimore Ravens this weekend. If they win that, they're Super Bowl bound.
He adds, "If not I'll be more than sad, I'll be arrested in New Orleans."
