Megan Fox

Merely one week after joining Twitter, Megan Fox has quit using the micro blogging website.

The sexy actress was the victim of a death hoax on Jan. 3 when "RIP Megan Fox" became a trending topic on the website. She delighted fans with her first post, proving she was alive and well.

""I'm incredibly late to the party but I'm here nonetheless, so what now?" she tweeted.

After picking up more than 250,000 followers, the new mom suspended her account on Thursday.

She explained on Facebook: "Some of you may, or may not have noticed by now that my Twitter account has been shut down...

"I thought that 2013 might be the year that I finally blossomed into a social networking butterfly... but as it turns out I still hate it. Love you guys but I will just never be that girl. Facebook is as much as I can handle. I'm Sorry."

Fox, 26, recently appeared in the comedy "This Is 40." She gave birth to her first child, Noah, on Sept. 27.
