Nas

A promoter in Angola is suing Nas for $10 million over allegations he was kidnapped after the rapper failed to stage a concert in the country last New Year's Eve.

Patrick Allocco claims he and his son were snatched at gunpoint last December and interrogated for several weeks after Nas missed his flight from the U.S., resulting in the festive show being called off.

Allocco was allegedly released when Nas returned the fee he was paid for the concert.

He is now suing the star over the ordeal.

In a $10 million lawsuit filed in America on Friday and obtained by TMZ.com, Allocco claims he was held captive for 50 days and suffered physical and psychological damage during that time. He also alleges he lost his home and business while he was unable to work.

Nas previously spoke out about Allocco's claims, insisting he was ill-prepared to stage such a high-profile gig in Angola.

He explained, "He wanted me to come to Africa for New Year's, which to me I thought would be the best way to spend New Year's... (Allocco) booked the flight, but no return flight. I didn't have a (work) visa... (Allocco) didn't send money 'til after I was supposed to jump on the plane to another country. He was in some crazy danger in Africa so he threw me under the bus."
