Based on a true story, Backwards tells the tale of a fiercely competitive rower who must find a new path after failing to make the Olympic team.

When this fiercely competitive athlete (played by Sarah Megan Thomas) fails to make the Olympic team for her second time, she reluctantly takes a high school coaching job. But adjusting to life off the race course is not easy, especially when someone else is living your dream.

James Van Der Beek and Glenn Morshower also star.

Backwards comes out on DVD and Video On Demand Tuesday, December 11 from Phase 4 Films.
