Anne Hathaway cries whenever she discusses The Dark Knight Rises because she misses her Catwoman role so much.
The actress stepped into a sexy cat suit to play Selina Kyle, Batman's feisty nemesis, but director Christopher Nolan bowed out of the blockbuster franchise after wrapping the The Dark Knight Rises and Hathaway reveals she hasn't been approached about a possible spin-off.
Now Hathaway admits she desperately misses playing Catwoman, and tears up when talking about the character.
In an interview with Access Hollywood, she says, "I would love (a spin-off). Actually, it's so embarrassing, I was at a press Q&A thing the other night for a screening of The Dark Knight (Rises), and the moderator asked me, 'So what was it like to say goodbye to the character?' And I burst into tears, because I miss her. I'm crying again - I need to stop talking about this, it just makes me cry.
"I miss her. I love Selina so much and I love her presence in my life and getting to tap into... I'm crying again! Getting to tap into that level of confidence."
After composing herself, Hathaway quipped, "Assuming there was enough Kleenex (tissues) in the world, I would love to do a spin-off."
