Bono Teams Up With DJ Tiesto For Charity Album
U2 rocker Bono has teamed up with Dutch DJ Tiesto for a new all-star charity album.
Fellow DJs Calvin Harris and Avicii also feature on Dance (RED), Save Lives, which will benefit Bono's anti-AIDS organization RED.
Tiesto reveals he felt compelled to support the cause after witnessing the plight of those affected by HIV during a trip to Africa in the mid-2000s.
In a statement, he says, "When I went to Africa in 2006, I was struck by the devastating effect of AIDS. Now the world has an incredible chance to make sure that babies are born HIV-free by 2015, and the dance community is going to make a lot of noise to help make this happen."
RED CEO Deborah Dugan adds, "What Tiesto and his friends in the dance music community are bringing to this fight is invaluable. They bring the kind of heat that is so desperately needed to keep this issue at the top of the agenda."
