Katie Holmes is hoping for a Dawson’s Creek reunion because she's desperate to reconnect with her former cast mates.

The 33 year old catapulted to fame as Joey Potter in the TV show, which also featured Michelle Williams, James Van Der Beek and Joshua Jackson.

The teen drama went off the air after six seasons in 2003 and fans have been clamoring for a reunion episode or spin-off movie ever since.

Holmes admits she would love to reprise her role but she is not sure the series finale left much room for writers to develop a new storyline.

She says, "I love everyone from the show. We have kind of talked about it (reunion) here and there, but we're like, 'What do you do?' Because (in) our last episode, Michelle's character passed away... (and) we were already, like, five years older, so... I don't know yet...

"Maybe we'll go on vacation - that (would) be fun - and just film it!"
