Private Practice star Kate Walsh is developing a new sitcom about her life.

The actress, who is currently wrapping up her final season on the TV medical drama, has revealed she is now hard at work on a new project she's producing with her comedy writer boyfriend.

She tells Access Hollywood Live, "We sold a pitch, a half-hour sitcom... It's loosely based (on my life)... It's me but not me."

"I went in with my boyfriend... and just sort of improvised together... It was really fun... He's (boyfriend) got kids, and what it was like with me coming in and kind of working together with the kids... and the whole crazy lifestyle."

Walsh has not yet decided who will play her in the show.
