'Hobbit' Director Peter Jackson Makes A Cameo In Air New Zealand Safety Video

While fans are gearing up for "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey," which hits theaters on Dec. 14, Air New Zealand is capitalizing on the hype surrounding the much buzzed about film.
Passengers on the airline will be treated to a new in-flight safety video that features Gollum crawling through the aisles and director Peter Jackson finding the One Ring on the floor.
The video features a Gandalf-like wizard piloting the plane and an elf flight attendant explaining all the safety procedures to the passengers. At one point a traveler struggles to pronounce the word "Mordor," and Jackson says "My precious" before slipping on the ring and disappearing.
The "Lord Of The Rings" films, based on the books by J.R.R. Tolkien, have all been filmed in New Zealand, which calls itself "Home of Middle Earth."
