British rocker Richard Hawley is urging his fans to take inspiration from his album Standing At The Sky's Edge and design a Gretsch guitar skin as part of an online competition.

The She Brings The Sunlight hit-maker is encouraging artists to reflect the energy created on his Mercury Prize-shortlisted album in their design.

The lucky winner will have their work turned into a skin for Hawley's guitar and will also receive a Gretsch, valued at $1,200, as well as tickets to the star's upcoming concert and exposure on his personal Facebook.com page.

Entries must be submitted by Thursday and the winner will be announced on November 16th.

In a post on his website, Hawley writes, "I wanted to get away from the orchestration of my previous records and make a live album with two guitars, bass, drums and rocket noises! I want fans and creatives to reflect this energy to create and design a guitar skin for my Gretsch!"
