Magic Johnson has been sued by a former employee who alleges she was fired without reason.

The basketball icon has been hit with a suit from Lanita Thomas, who worked as a flight attendant on the star's private jet from 2004 until September, reports TMZ.com.

According to documents filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Thomas alleges she was fired after turning up 15 minutes late for work, but insists her tardiness was due to running errands for Johnson.

Thomas is seeking unspecified damages for wrongful termination, and also claims she is owed overtime pay.
