Mick Jagger To Produce James Brown Biopic

Mick Jagger has confirmed reports he is to produce a James Brown biopic, insisting he is honored to be involved.
The Rolling Stones frontman has joined forces with scriptwriters Jez Butterworth and John-Henry Butterworth, and Imagine Entertainment's Brian Grazer, who is also in negotiations with The Help director Tate Taylor.
The film will be a co-production between Imagine and Jagger's company Jagged Films, and bosses are now looking for an actor to take the lead role as the Godfather of Soul.
Jagger tells Deadline.com, "It's a great honor to be involved with a project as rich as the story of the legendary James Brown. He was a mesmerizing performer with a fascinating life."
