Sting Moves Philippines Concert Venue After Campaign

Rocker and environmental activist Sting has moved the location of his upcoming concert in the Philippines after a campaign by green protesters.
Activists organised a petition in a bid to have the show relocated from the SM Mall of Asia Arena after learning the conglomerate which owns the venue plans to uproot 182 trees for a parking lot and mall expansion in a mountain city.
The show, scheduled for December 9, will now take place at the Araneta Coliseum.
A representative for the Mall of Asia Arena says the concert venue change was "the decision of the artist himself".
Sting and his wife Trudie Styler are co-founders of the rainforest preservation charity the Rainforest Fund.
