'Sherlock' Dominates Crime Thriller Awards

Sherlock

Hit British TV drama Sherlock dominated the U.K.'s Crime Thriller Awards on Thursday, scooping three top honors.

The detective show was named Best Television Series, while its stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman picked up the Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor prizes, respectively.

Claire Danes landed Best Actress for her role in Homeland and Kelly MacDonald won Best Supporting Actress for her work in Boardwalk Empire.

2011 espionage movie Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy - which also featured Cumberbatch - bagged the Best Film award and the Best International Television Series trophy went to Danish crime drama The Bridge.
