The CW Greenlights Reese Witherspoon's 'Great Expectations' TV Drama
The CW has picked up Reese Witherspoon's modern take on Charles Dickens' classic novel "Great Expectations," according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The reimagining of the literary masterpiece will be set in San Francisco, and Witherspoon will executive produce the project through her Pacific Standard company.
The series will mark the actress' debut as a TV producer. Witherspoon, 36, gave birth to her third child, son Tennessee James, on Sept. 27. Despite being the mother to an infant and producing her first television series, she has a lot on her plate.
Witherspoon stars in several upcoming film, including "Devil's Knot," "Big Eyes," "Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus" and "Wish List."
