Rapper Lil Scrappy was arrested in Atlanta, Georgia on Monday for violating his probation.

The hip-hop star, real name Darryl Kevin Richardson II, was taken into custody and booked at the DeKalb County Jail.

According to TMZ.com, Richardson landed in trouble after breaking the terms of his probation stemming from a prior drugs conviction.

It is unknown how Richardson violated his probation but authorities listed the incident as occurring on September 4th.

In 2008, he was sentenced to five years' probation after cops found marijuana on his person. He was also ordered to complete an alcohol/drug education program and perform 240 hours of community service.
