Ryan Murphy

When "Glee" creator Ryan Murphy was a teenager his parents sent him to therapy in a bid to make him straight.

When he was 15, his parents discovered Ryan was having "an affair" with a 21-year-old man. As a result, his parents removed him from summer camp, sold his car, and  threatened to file statutory rape charges against his boyfriend.

Then they sent him to therapy to help him "overcome" his attraction towards men. However, Ryan's therapist ended up taking the teen's side.

Murphy told Vogue magazine, "Luckily, I had a brilliant therapist who after two sessions called my parents in and said, 'Your child is very smart and manipulative, and clearly he's getting A-pluses in school even though this is going on, so either you deal with it honestly or he will turn 18 and you will never see him again.' There was a long silent car ride home, and we never spoke of it again."
